Bramley & Co Accountants Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), registration number ZA000000. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal data in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

To respond to enquiries and provide quotes
To deliver accountancy, tax and advisory services under a signed engagement letter
To meet our legal and regulatory obligations, including anti-money laundering checks

4. Legal basis for processing

We process your data on the basis of performance of a contract, legal obligation, legitimate interests (responding to your enquiry), and consent where you have opted in to marketing.

5. How long we keep it

We retain client records for at least six years after the end of our engagement, in line with HMRC and professional body requirements. Enquiry data that does not become a client relationship is held for up to twelve months.

6. Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We may share it with HMRC and Companies House where legally required, our cloud software providers, and our professional body or insurer where required. All processors are bound by appropriate data protection terms.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your data, request correction or deletion, restrict or object to processing, and request data portability. To exercise any of these, contact us at privacy@bramleyaccountants.co.uk.
